About Village Montana Apartments

The Village Montana is made up of three residences, Montana Premier and Valbel both located on the piste and Montana Soleil is just over the road, so all of the apartments are conveniently positioned. The apartments are spacious, comfortable and all have superb views across Val Thorens. The resort centre is accessed by a lift and a covered walkway, plus you can enjoy how convenient the complex is with on-site restaurants, bar, lounge, sun terrace and gift shop. There is also a bakery delivery service, taking the fuss out of breakfast (pay locally).

Val Thorens is a high-altitude ski resort in the Three Valleys, and most of our apartments have direct access to the slopes and ski lifts, allowing you to start and end your ski day right at your doorstep. The residence also has its own onsite bar, lounge and restaurant, so you don't need to go far to meet friends and family for a drink or bite to eat. The resort centre is easily accessible by a lift and covered walk way, where you can find plenty of shops, bars and restaurants - perfect for the days when you don't feel like cooking. 

  • Skiing virtually to the door, with the lifts being approx. 20 metres away.
  • Village Montana is made up of three residences, Montana Premier and Valbel located on the piste and Montana Soleil is just over the road. 
  • From here just ski to the ski school meeting place and a choice of lifts.
  • Two minute (200 metres) walk to the resort centre 

The Village Montana Apartments are self catering apartments. Each apartment has an equipped kitchenette, with the resort centre being a short walk away. The residence has its own bakery delivery service available to book and pay for locally. 

Alternatively, we've partnered up with Huski who provide premium oven ready meals across the French Alps. Huski will deliver your meals directly to your accommodation in time for your arrival, all you'll have to do is cook. If you'd like to know more, please click here for further details.

Board basis available: Self Catering

The apartments can vary in size and layout, accommodating different group sizes, however each apartment is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay in the mountains including a balcony with scenic views, comfortable bedrooms and an open-plan lounge and equipped kitchenette. 

One Bedroom Soleil Apartments sleep two to three people and are around 32m². These apartments have a living room with a single sofa bed and a twin bedroom and one bathroom. These apartments are located in the Montana Soleil building. 

One Bedroom Premier Cabin Apartments sleep two to four people and are around 35m². These apartments have a twin bedroom, an alcove with twin beds, and one bathroom (may have a separate WC). These apartments are located in the Montana Premier building.

Two Bedroom Soleil Apartments sleep up to four people and are around 45m². These apartments have two twin bedrooms, and one bathroom. These apartments are located in the Montana Soleil building.

Two Bedroom Cabin Soleil Apartments sleep up to six people and are around 49m². These apartments have two twin bedrooms,  a cabin room with bunkbeds, one bathroom with a bath, one shower room and a separate toilet. These apartments are located in the Montana Soleil building. 

Two Bedroom Premium Valbel Apartments sleep two to four people and are around 45m². These apartments have been renovated in recent years, and have two bedrooms, and one bathroom.  These apartments are located in the Valbel building.

Beds are made upon arrival, towels are provided with a midweek change on request and end of stay cleaning is included (except the kitchen - bins must be taken out to the main outside bin area.

Discover Val Thorens

At an altitude of 2,300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and as part of the huge Three Valleys area, it is undoubtedly one of the very best. The resort has been designed to offer doorstep skiing from practically wherever you stay and has a village feel around a compact centre - where car access is restricted. The height of the resort means skiing in Val Thorens consists of long hours of sunshine, an unrivalled snow record and great skiing for all grades.

Things to do in Val Thorens

Tobogganing

The longest toboggan run in France can be found at the Cosmojet Toboggan run, accessible via the Péclet funitel. It takes about 45 minutes to run the roughly 6 kilometres to the bottom.

As well as the swimming pool and wellness facilities, the complex has a range of sports courts and a fitness area with body building facilities. There is also a soft play area for the children which includes giant trampolines, slides, rope bridges and a ball pit. Payable locally.

If you would prefer to experience the mountain by foot, there are plenty of paths to follow. The sentier de la Marine is a relatively easy walk of around 5km, starting at Chalet du Cosmojet you will be met with fantastic views across the snowy landscape.

Have you ever wanted to stay on the mountain after last lifts? Every Friday you can enjoy the Tête Ronde and Christine runs in Péclet sector until 6.30pm. It is free of charge for guests with a valid Val Thorens/ Orelle ski pass.

Take to new heights and have a go at the La Bee zip line at the top of the Moutiere chairlift. This adrenaline filled zip line is suitable for children over the age of 14. Height restrictions apply. Pay locally.

The Tyrolienne du Bouchet is the highest zipline in Europe giving you the chance to whizz through the incredible mountain scenery. Located at the top of the Bouchet chairlift. Pay locally.

Snake Gliss (sledge train to you and me) is where sledges are tied together, led by a professional instructor and whizzing down the 45 minute descent from the top of Funitel de Péclet. 

For a bit of evening entertainment head to the resorts bowling centre, where there are eight lanes for bowling, a pool table and a variety of games including a football table. 

Ride your own snowmobile, or with a passenger and follow your guide on a tour around the unspoilt winter landscapes around Val Thorens. Book and pay locally.
