About Residence Hameau de Kashmir

Located at the foot of the slopes, the Résidence Hameau de Kashmir enjoys stunning views, excellent service and a stylish interior with a selection of luxurious apartments. With direct access to the Plein Sud piste, the Kashmir provides the ultimate ski convenience alongside a beautifully decorated interior and excellent service.

The apartments include access to the spa and pool as well as the gym for those who are keen to keep up their fitness levels throughout their stay. Guests can enjoy the the lively atmosphere of Val Thorens with the comfort of peaceful accommodation located just 5 minutes' walk to the resort centre and shops.

When you have returned from a day of exploring the Three Valleys, a lovely wellness area awaits you. Enjoy the indoor pool with panoramic views, soothe any aches in the Finnish bath or unwind in the sauna. There is also a relaxation room for a moment of peace. If you really want to indulge, massages and beauty treatments are available to book through the hotel. For those who want to stay in shape, there is a small fitness room with a variety of equipment available. A compact fitness room equipped with a range of exercise machines is available if you want to stay in shape.

The Residence Hameau de Kashmir is located at the entrance of Val Thorens and benefits from being located at the base of the Plein Sud piste.- These apartments benefit from ski in, ski out access giving you easy access to the renowned Three Valleys, many of the apartments also have fantastic views across the resort and surrounding mountain peaks.  If you are looking for a spot to enjoy a drink or a bite to eat, the lively resort centre is nearby - there's a variety of bars and restaurants to meet everyone's taste, alternatively you can upgrade to breakfast and/or dinner at the on-site restaurant.

  • Residence Hameau de Kashmir is located directly on the Plein Sud piste with exceptional views over the piste to the mountain peaks beyond.
  • The residence is a short walk to the resort centre (500 metres)
  • The nearest ski lifts are 100 metres walk. It is then a 200 metres ski down to the ski school meeting point.

The Residence Hameau de Kashmir apartments are self catering apartments. Each apartment has a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, traditional oven, ceramic hot plates, kettle, filter coffee machine, toaster and dish washer. 

There is the option to pre-book breakfast and dinner for an additional supplement at the on site restaurant with a la carte menu. There is an extensive breakfast buffet served each day, and dinner includes a starter, main course and dessert.

Alternatively, we've partnered up with Huski who provide premium oven ready meals across the French Alps. Huski will deliver your meals directly to your accommodation in time for your arrival, all you'll have to do is cook. If you'd like to know more, please click here for further details.

These lovely apartments are furnished with the colours of the Kashmir region, deep purples and vibrant red tones are combined with wood to create luxurious feeling apartments. They are furnished with everything you need for a relaxing week in the mountains, each apartment has a fully equipped kitchenette, cosy lounge area with mountain views, and luxurious bedrooms. With different occupancies, these apartments are ideal for families or friends travelling to France this winter.

Superior two bedroom apartments sleep two to four people and are around 50m². These apartments are slightly larger, and have one twin bedroom, one double bedroom and an open plan living area with a kitchenette.

Two bedroom apartments sleep three to six people and are around 50m². These apartments have one twin bedroom, one double bedroom and an open plan living area with a double sofa bed.

Three bedroom apartments sleep three to six people and are around 65m². These apartments have one double bedroom, two twin bedrooms and an open plan living area with a kitchenette. These apartments also have an additional shower and WC.

Beds are made on arrival except sofa beds and end of stay cleaning is included (excludes kitchen). Please note that some apartments may be split over two levels.

Discover Val Thorens

At an altitude of 2,300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and as part of the huge Three Valleys area, it is undoubtedly one of the very best. The resort has been designed to offer doorstep skiing from practically wherever you stay and has a village feel around a compact centre - where car access is restricted. The height of the resort means skiing in Val Thorens consists of long hours of sunshine, an unrivalled snow record and great skiing for all grades.

Things to do in Val Thorens

Tobogganing

The longest toboggan run in France can be found at the Cosmojet Toboggan run, accessible via the Péclet funitel. It takes about 45 minutes to run the roughly 6 kilometres to the bottom.

As well as the swimming pool and wellness facilities, the complex has a range of sports courts and a fitness area with body building facilities. There is also a soft play area for the children which includes giant trampolines, slides, rope bridges and a ball pit. Payable locally.

If you would prefer to experience the mountain by foot, there are plenty of paths to follow. The sentier de la Marine is a relatively easy walk of around 5km, starting at Chalet du Cosmojet you will be met with fantastic views across the snowy landscape.

Have you ever wanted to stay on the mountain after last lifts? Every Friday you can enjoy the Tête Ronde and Christine runs in Péclet sector until 6.30pm. It is free of charge for guests with a valid Val Thorens/ Orelle ski pass.

Take to new heights and have a go at the La Bee zip line at the top of the Moutiere chairlift. This adrenaline filled zip line is suitable for children over the age of 14. Height restrictions apply. Pay locally.

The Tyrolienne du Bouchet is the highest zipline in Europe giving you the chance to whizz through the incredible mountain scenery. Located at the top of the Bouchet chairlift. Pay locally.

Snake Gliss (sledge train to you and me) is where sledges are tied together, led by a professional instructor and whizzing down the 45 minute descent from the top of Funitel de Péclet. 

For a bit of evening entertainment head to the resorts bowling centre, where there are eight lanes for bowling, a pool table and a variety of games including a football table. 

Ride your own snowmobile, or with a passenger and follow your guide on a tour around the unspoilt winter landscapes around Val Thorens. Book and pay locally.
