About Chalet Chloe

Chalet Chloe is one of three chalets in a small residence at the entrance to the Balcons area of Val Thorens. The building is shared exclusively with Chalets Mathilde and Noella. The entrance is on the top floor and a shared staircase leads to the chalets, which are each individually run and hosted. Chalet Chloe is available to book exclusively as well as room by room.

The interior of the chalet is styled in the classic Alpine style, and it features comfortable furnishings throughout the entire property, including a lounge and dining area that share an open layout. After spending the day exploring the Three Valleys, make your way back to the chalet to relax with a cup of coffee and a tasty treat for afternoon tea. Alternatively, you can soak up some winter sun on the sun terrace, which offers stunning views of the resort.

After a long day on the slopes, relax and rejuvenate in the wellness area including a sauna and steam room that is shared between guests in the residence.

Children 11 years and under are welcome in the chalet on any date where one group books the entire chalet for their exclusive use. Otherwise, children are allowed on peak dates only. Please see our chalet page for more information. For Winter 2025/26 these dates are:

Chalet Chloe is in an excellent location in Val Thorens, to access the Plein Sud blue, which runs through the village, head 100 metres along the road in the morning and ski directly to the lifts that connect to the Three Valleys, or turn right to descend to Les Menuires.

The centre of the resort is only a five-minute walk away, where you'll find a wide range of shops, cafes, and restaurants. If you are having a day off of skiing, the resort has a range of facilities to keep you occupied including the new Le Board sport centre.

Our catered chalets mean there is no need to worry about a shopping trip whilst on holiday, as you will be looked after by us from arrival right to departure. 

Staff night off is once a week when there is no afternoon tea or dinner, so on this day you can explore the local restaurants in Val Thorens. Breakfast on this day will be a continental breakfast. Our Destination Experts are there to recommend and book a local restaurant in resort for the free evening.  

  • For 6 mornings of your holiday there’s a classic full cooked breakfast available.
  • A tasty home baked cake will be served for afternoon tea with a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate.
  • A 4-course set menu will be cooked and served by your chalet hosts on 6 evenings of your holiday. Start your evening with an aperitif with nibbles, followed by a starter, main, dessert and cheese board.
  • Wine is served with dinner, plus tea and coffee will be available after your meal.
  • On Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, a special celebration menu is prepared.

Chalet staff day off is usually a Wednesday, but for Christmas and New Year week this will be a Thursday.

Breakfast 

A continental buffet breakfast is available on 7 mornings of your holiday. There’ll be a selection of cereals, bread and pastries from a local bakery, jams and spreads, local cheeses and charcuterie, yogurts and fresh fruits. We have Nespresso coffee machines in each chalet, along with teas, infusions, hot chocolates and fruit juices.  

For 6 mornings of your holiday there’s a classic full cooked breakfast available, starting from 8am. Your hosts will take an order from you and get it prepared ahead of your big day on the slopes. Options include free range eggs, sausages, bacon, halloumi, mushrooms and tomatoes.  

Afternoon tea 

A fresh cake will be baked and ready for your return from the slopes, 6 days of the week. Perfect to pair with the selection of teas, hot chocolate and Nespresso coffee, that’re in your chalet for you whenever you fancy.  

Evening meal 

A 4-course set menu will be cooked and served by your chalet hosts on 6 evenings of your holiday. You’ll start your evening with an Aperitif and nibbles, where we have a choice of 2 Italian Proseccos from the Veneto region, one of which is a 0% alcohol option, beer and soft drinks. 

The evening set menu has been designed to incorporate a variety of different cuisines, including classic French, Asian, Italian and British dishes. One evening the menu will be a delicious regional dish, from the area you are staying in. 

After each homemade dessert there’s a selection of cheeses with fresh bread, crackers and chutney, along with coffee, tea or infusions. 

There will be special celebration menus on Christmas Day & New Year's Eve.

During your evening meal guests can indulge in our carefully selected complimentary local wines, which consists of a choice of 3 red, 3 white and 1 rosé. All of the wines have been carefully chosen so that there is a great variety and offer something to cater for all tastes and that pairs well with the menu. 

For those guests that don’t drink wine, there is a selection of beer (both with and without alcohol), sparkling mineral water and soft drinks.

Discover Val Thorens

At an altitude of 2,300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and as part of the huge Three Valleys area, it is undoubtedly one of the very best. The resort has been designed to offer doorstep skiing from practically wherever you stay and has a village feel around a compact centre - where car access is restricted. The height of the resort means skiing in Val Thorens consists of long hours of sunshine, an unrivalled snow record and great skiing for all grades.

Things to do in Val Thorens

Tobogganing

The longest toboggan run in France can be found at the Cosmojet Toboggan run, accessible via the Péclet funitel. It takes about 45 minutes to run the roughly 6 kilometres to the bottom.

As well as the swimming pool and wellness facilities, the complex has a range of sports courts and a fitness area with body building facilities. There is also a soft play area for the children which includes giant trampolines, slides, rope bridges and a ball pit. Payable locally.

If you would prefer to experience the mountain by foot, there are plenty of paths to follow. The sentier de la Marine is a relatively easy walk of around 5km, starting at Chalet du Cosmojet you will be met with fantastic views across the snowy landscape.

Have you ever wanted to stay on the mountain after last lifts? Every Friday you can enjoy the Tête Ronde and Christine runs in Péclet sector until 6.30pm. It is free of charge for guests with a valid Val Thorens/ Orelle ski pass.

Take to new heights and have a go at the La Bee zip line at the top of the Moutiere chairlift. This adrenaline filled zip line is suitable for children over the age of 14. Height restrictions apply. Pay locally.

The Tyrolienne du Bouchet is the highest zipline in Europe giving you the chance to whizz through the incredible mountain scenery. Located at the top of the Bouchet chairlift. Pay locally.

Snake Gliss (sledge train to you and me) is where sledges are tied together, led by a professional instructor and whizzing down the 45 minute descent from the top of Funitel de Péclet. 

For a bit of evening entertainment head to the resorts bowling centre, where there are eight lanes for bowling, a pool table and a variety of games including a football table. 

Ride your own snowmobile, or with a passenger and follow your guide on a tour around the unspoilt winter landscapes around Val Thorens. Book and pay locally.
