About Residence Cheval Blanc Apartments

The Cheval Blanc is an attractive ski in-ski out residence enjoying a quiet location in the lower part of the resort, ideal for the keen skier who wants to be on the slopes first thing in the morning.

Furnished in a simplistic alpine design, these apartments provide a comfortable space to return to after a day of skiing. We have a range of apartments available, suitable for a group of family and friends looking for self-catered accommodation in France.

The Cheval Blanc apartments have an excellent location in Val Thorens, providing keen skiers and snowboarders with ski in, ski out access to the fabulous Three Valleys Ski Area. The resort centre is just a short walk away, where you can find a variety of shops and bars - there are some fantastic après spots to enjoy after a day of skiing. If you don't feel like cooking, there is also plenty of restaurants serving delicious Savoyard classics and family favourites including pizza, burgers and grilled meats.

The Residence Cheval Blanc Apartments are self catering apartments. Each apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, and the local supermarket is just a short walk away. A bakery delivery service is available to book through the reception (pay locally).

Three Bedroom Mezzanine Apartments sleep six to eight people and are around 50m². These duplex apartments have a open plan kitchenette and living room with a double sofa bed and additional twin beds or double sofa bed separated with a curtain or sliding door on the lower floor. Upstairs there is two open bedrooms, These apartments have two bathrooms. 

Privilege apartments have a ski room with direct access to the slopes. Standard apartments will need to cross the street, from the ski room, to reach the slopes.

Discover Val Thorens

At an altitude of 2,300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and as part of the huge Three Valleys area, it is undoubtedly one of the very best. The resort has been designed to offer doorstep skiing from practically wherever you stay and has a village feel around a compact centre - where car access is restricted. The height of the resort means skiing in Val Thorens consists of long hours of sunshine, an unrivalled snow record and great skiing for all grades.

Things to do in Val Thorens

Tobogganing

The longest toboggan run in France can be found at the Cosmojet Toboggan run, accessible via the Péclet funitel. It takes about 45 minutes to run the roughly 6 kilometres to the bottom.

As well as the swimming pool and wellness facilities, the complex has a range of sports courts and a fitness area with body building facilities. There is also a soft play area for the children which includes giant trampolines, slides, rope bridges and a ball pit. Payable locally.

If you would prefer to experience the mountain by foot, there are plenty of paths to follow. The sentier de la Marine is a relatively easy walk of around 5km, starting at Chalet du Cosmojet you will be met with fantastic views across the snowy landscape.

Have you ever wanted to stay on the mountain after last lifts? Every Friday you can enjoy the Tête Ronde and Christine runs in Péclet sector until 6.30pm. It is free of charge for guests with a valid Val Thorens/ Orelle ski pass.

Take to new heights and have a go at the La Bee zip line at the top of the Moutiere chairlift. This adrenaline filled zip line is suitable for children over the age of 14. Height restrictions apply. Pay locally.

The Tyrolienne du Bouchet is the highest zipline in Europe giving you the chance to whizz through the incredible mountain scenery. Located at the top of the Bouchet chairlift. Pay locally.

Snake Gliss (sledge train to you and me) is where sledges are tied together, led by a professional instructor and whizzing down the 45 minute descent from the top of Funitel de Péclet. 

For a bit of evening entertainment head to the resorts bowling centre, where there are eight lanes for bowling, a pool table and a variety of games including a football table. 

Ride your own snowmobile, or with a passenger and follow your guide on a tour around the unspoilt winter landscapes around Val Thorens. Book and pay locally.
