The Kashmir provides the ultimate ski convenience alongside a beautifully decorated interior with a Himalayan theme and excellent service. You can enjoy stunning views from the property and the lively atmosphere of Val Thorens as this peaceful accommodation is located just a five minute walk from the resort centre and shops.

The authentic and refined atmosphere the suites provide makes this property an idyllic place to stay on your ski holiday. Not only are the hotel suites cosy and finished to a high standard, you will also get to enjoy a hearty skiers breakfast and access to the spa, pool and gym.

Wellness & relaxation

After an active day of skiing or snowboarding, you can relax in the hotel's sauna, hot tub, or indoor pool which offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains. There is also a relaxation area available for anyone looking for some quiet time. Massages and other beauty treatments can be booked through the hotel if you truly want to splurge on something nice for yourself. A compact fitness room equipped with a range of exercise machines is available if you want to stay in shape.

The Hotel Hameau de Kashmir is located close to the entrance of Val Thorens and with a prime spot at the base of the Plein Sud piste. The hotel offers ski-in, ski-out access, making it simple to reach the renowned Three Valleys. In addition, many of the suites have magnificent views of the whole resort and the mountains surrounding it. If you are looking for a place to grab a bite to eat or a drink, the vibrant resort centre is close by, where there is a wide selection of restaurants and bars to cater to everyone's tastes. If you prefer, you can also upgrade to have breakfast and/or dinner at the restaurant that is located on the property.

  • The Hotel Hameau de Kashmir is located on the edge of the Plein Sud piste with exceptional views over the piste to the mountain peaks beyond.
  • The hotel is a short walk to the resort centre (500 metres)
  • The nearest ski lifts are 100 metres walk. It is then a 200 metres ski down to the ski school meeting point.

The Hotel Hameau de Kashmir is on a bed and breakfast basis. 

A buffet breakfast with a range of local breads, pastries, meats, cheeses, jams, honey, fruit juice and additional hot options is served between 7.30-9.30am each day. 

You have the option to upgrade to half board, which includes a three course dinner with a choice of main.  Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve Gala Dinners are including if taking half board over this period

Junior Suites are around 40m² sleeping two to three people. Junior Suites have an open plan living area with a kitchenette, double bed in a spacious alcove with sliding door and a single bedroom. 

Family Suites are around 45m² sleeping two to four people, with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom

Prestige Suites are around 80m² sleeping two to five people. Prestige Suites have a double bedroom and twin bedroom, and an additional single bed either in the living room or on a mezzanine overlooking the living area. 

Daily housekeeping is included. Please note that some rooms may be split over two levels.

Discover Val Thorens

At an altitude of 2,300m, Val Thorens is the highest ski resort in Europe and as part of the huge Three Valleys area, it is undoubtedly one of the very best. The resort has been designed to offer doorstep skiing from practically wherever you stay and has a village feel around a compact centre - where car access is restricted. Things to do in Val Thorens

Tobogganing

The longest toboggan run in France can be found at the Cosmojet Toboggan run, accessible via the Péclet funitel. It takes about 45 minutes to run the roughly 6 kilometres to the bottom.

As well as the swimming pool and wellness facilities, the complex has a range of sports courts and a fitness area with body building facilities. There is also a soft play area for the children which includes giant trampolines, slides, rope bridges and a ball pit. Payable locally.

If you would prefer to experience the mountain by foot, there are plenty of paths to follow. The sentier de la Marine is a relatively easy walk of around 5km, starting at Chalet du Cosmojet you will be met with fantastic views across the snowy landscape.

Have you ever wanted to stay on the mountain after last lifts? Every Friday you can enjoy the Tête Ronde and Christine runs in Péclet sector until 6.30pm. It is free of charge for guests with a valid Val Thorens/ Orelle ski pass.

Take to new heights and have a go at the La Bee zip line at the top of the Moutiere chairlift. This adrenaline filled zip line is suitable for children over the age of 14. Height restrictions apply. Pay locally.

The Tyrolienne du Bouchet is the highest zipline in Europe giving you the chance to whizz through the incredible mountain scenery. Located at the top of the Bouchet chairlift. Pay locally.

Snake Gliss (sledge train to you and me) is where sledges are tied together, led by a professional instructor and whizzing down the 45 minute descent from the top of Funitel de Péclet. 

For a bit of evening entertainment head to the resorts bowling centre, where there are eight lanes for bowling, a pool table and a variety of games including a football table. 

Ride your own snowmobile, or with a passenger and follow your guide on a tour around the unspoilt winter landscapes around Val Thorens. Book and pay locally.
