Beginner skiing and snowboarding in Les 2 Alpes

There are a selection of beginner slopes close to the resort, for complete beginners, there are five free ski lifts on the lower slopes which do not require a lift pass. Once you have gained your confidence, a lift pass will be required to access the other lifts and pistes. You will then have access to plenty of easy slopes to practice your turns and technique. By the end of the week head up the glacier via the Jandri Express for long cruisy blues. 

Intermediates skiing and snowboarding in Les 2 Alpes

There's a large selection of runs for intermediate skiers and boarders as there's a good range of red and black runs throughout the area. There's some fast cruising here especially from the glacier to Toura and in the terrain of the north-facing bowls. There are even some wide cruisy blue rooms on the glacier.

Advanced skiing and snowboarding in Les 2 Alpes

Advanced skiers and boarders will enjoy the challenging runs in the XYZ area, the Grand Couloir from Tête Moute should not be missed. Otherwise head to the Vallons Diable itinerary and the endless powder in the Fée Bowl.

Try the board park at mid station with its kickers, spines, rails and boardercross course.

We offer a variety of accommodation in Les 2 Alpes, many of which are within close proximity to the slopes. You have plenty of choice of accommodation styles ranging from modern apartments, family run establishments or hotels with extensive wellness facilities. 

For those families looking to make the most of the resorts family label, we'd recommend considering one of our family friendly hotels. Hotel Les Cretes has a free kids club for all ages available, as well as an animation team to keep the whole family entertained. Hotel Chalet Mounier is a delightful family run alpine hotel and was one of the first to be built in the resort. The owners provide a warm welcome, as well as access to a TV and entertainment area and games room that is perfect for children looking for fun off the slopes.

Discover Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes stretches along a spectacular valley which has developed into a popular ski resort from its original mountain origins, with magnificent scenery which can be enjoyed from the top of the glacier. The après ski is lively with an impressive number of shops, bars, restaurants and animated nightlife. The whole resort lies alongside the main pistes so you are never far from one of the many lifts. Les 2 Alpes is a snow-sure mountain resort with over 225 kilometres of slopes - 70% of these slopes being over 2000 metres in altitude, so throughout the season you'll be guaranteed natural snow. 

There is no shortage of restaurants in resort and on the mountain, whether you feel like traditional Savoyard cuisine, burger, tapas or a Michelin star meal, there is something for everyone at every budget.

At lunch time. try the La Bergerie Kanata restaurant at the top of the Cote-Pied Moutet chairlift for authentic Savoyard cuisine, or Refuge des Glaciers for a quick takeaway lunch.

For those looking for an evening meal, there are plenty of choices of restaurants throughout the resort, head to La Patate for regional specialties or Pasta Mia Trattoria for home made pasta and an Aperol Spritz.

Once you have finished skiing for the day a spot for apres is not hard to find,  whether you want to sit back with a beer or party the night away you can find it in Les 2 Alpes. Umbrella Bar at the bottom of the Jandri lift attracts crowds with lively music.

For those looking to party the night away there are a handful of late night spots throughout the resort, L'Avalanche nightclub is open until early hours of the morning and has regular parties throughout the winter season. 

Many of the hotels and apartments have wellness facilities available for their guests to use. These include the Residence Les Clarines, Hotel Chalet Mounier and the L'Ours Blanc Apartments. 

There are lots of shops selling souvenirs and local products. Similarly, there are a number of small supermarkets dotted around the resort for those staying on a self catering basis requiring groceries. 

Equipment rental and sports shops are typically open until late in the day so you can maximise your time on the mountain before returning your equipment at the end of your last day.

Travel to Les 2 Alpes

Travel by air

Flights to Geneva and Chambery depart on Saturdays between 13 December 2025 and 11 April 2026.

Transfer time: 

  • Chambery transfer time: approx. 2 hours 30 mins by coach
  • Geneva transfer time: approx. 3 hours 15 mins by coach

Your transfer to Les 2 Alpes will stop as close as possible to your chosen accommodation. In some cases there may be a couple of minutes' walk due to regulations on where coaches can stop.

Transfers may be longer during bad weather conditions or French school holidays. French school holidays span 20 Dec 25-05 Jan 26, 07 Feb-10 Mar 26 and 04-25 Apr 26.

Things to do in Les 2 Alpes

The local sport centre will keep you occupied when there are white out days, have a game of badminton, tennis, volleyball or basketball or head up the indoor climbing wall. Payable locally. 

Enjoy skating on the artificial ice rink located in the centre of Les 2 Alpes free of charge with your six day lift pass. On two evenings the ice rink is reserved for 'Ice Gliding' (bumper cars on ice). Skate and ice glider hire is an additional cost and is payable locally. 

Ski under the stars in Les 2 Alpes. Each week, the Lutins button lift stays open so you can carrying on skiing after the rest of the lifts have shut for the day. It is an excellent experience for intermediate skiers and boarders. You don't need to pay extra for this, it is included with a valid lift pass. 

Swap your skis or board for a toboggan and whiz down one of the four dedicated toboggan runs near the base of the slopes. Although the runs are predominantly designed for children, adults can have a go on selected evenings. 

if you are after a fun activity after ski activity, head to Le Strike Bowling Alley for a game or two. The bowling alley also has arcade games, a football table, billiards and a bar to keep you entertained. 

High up on the Roche Mantel glacier, you can go down 30m under to the magical ice caves and marvel at the hand carved ice sculptures created each year. 

If you don't ski or fancy a day off from skiing, hire some snowshoes locally and wander the snowy landscapes on foot.
