About Hotel Alpen Roc

The Hotel Alpen Roc has a friendly atmosphere and welcoming service. The panoramic views from the dining room and lounge area of the Aravis mountain range are a delight.

The Hotel Alpen Roc is located in the quaint ski village of La Clusaz, at the foot of the Aravis mountains, you can enjoy wonderful views from the hotel's dining room, lounge and most bedrooms have fantastic views as well. Being a short distance away from the main lifts including the Crêt du Merle you can easily get on and off the slopes each day. The five interconnected sectors make it an excellent choice for a family ski holiday, as there is something to occupy skiers and boarders of all abilities. With 132 kilometres of predominantly intermediate slopes set both above and below the treeline, the terrain is diverse and interesting. This traditional mountain village with a charming square and Savoyard church has become the centre of the ski the area. Each street extending from the square is lined with sophisticated shops, bars, and hotels.

Spa and wellness facilities

The has a lovely wellness area with a small heated indoor swimming pool, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out to the snow. Also, a sauna, steam room and whirlpool that offers a perfect way to unwind after a long day exploring the slopes.

The Hotel Alpen Roc is available on a half board basis which includes breakfast and dinner, afternoon snacks and an 'unlimited drinks' package which includes a variety of drinks between 10am -10.50pm.

  • Fuel up for a day on the slopes with the continental breakfast buffet with additional hot options, available from 7 - 10am (times subject to change)
  • Enjoy evening meals which are served buffet style with additional hot food prepared to order, available from 7 - 9pm (times subject to change). The dishes are made from fresh local products, and you can enjoy a variety of dishes including traditional cuisine. 
  • Make the most of unlimited drinks from 10am - 10.55pm. The package includes a range of sodas, fruit juices, hot drinks, beer and wine. You can also enjoy tea time cake and aperitifs at the bar from 6 - 10.55pm.

Discover La Clusaz

La Clusaz, a picturesque Savoyard village located in the beautiful Aravis mountain range. The resort features a rustic centre with a church, shops and a variety of traditional restaurants serving regional specialities, as well as a number of bars to take advantage of the resort's welcoming ambience. With 210 kilometres of downhill skiing, beginners and intermediates can enjoy the green and blue runs, while experts can ski the abundant off-piste terrain.

Things to do in La Clusaz

Swap the skis for a sledge and ride down the three dedicated sledding runs, all varying in difficulty. Night sledding is also a possibility.

The local ice rink is in the centre of the village and open throughout the week. You can also try the so called 'Bumper Hurricane' which is essentially bumper cars on ice.

For the more adventurous, experience La Clusaz from the sky by going on a paragliding flight over the Aravis mountains. 

For a bit of evening entertainment head to the resorts bowling alley for a game or two, there is also an arcade with a number of simulators and a dart board.
