Hotel Banchetta in Borgata is a great-value option for those wanting to ski the Milky Way without the price tag of central Sestriere. Just 4km away, it offers a peaceful base with easy access to the slopes and a more relaxed village atmosphere.

The local lifts are just a short walk from the hotel, giving you a quiet and convenient route into the wider ski area – perfect for avoiding the busier Sestriere lift stations. Despite its budget-friendly appeal, the hotel still delivers comfort and a cosy alpine feel.

Getting to Sestriere is simple – you can ski there directly via the linked lift system or take a short drive or taxi in the evening if you want to explore more shops, bars or restaurants. Then head back to the calm of Borgata for a restful night.

The best thing about the hotels location in Borgata is that you won't have to queue to get onto the lifts in the morning. Beat the crowds and be one of the first on the mountain. The nearest lift is just 300 meters away and connects you to the wider ski area, meaning you can get a jump start on those staying in central Sestriere. Best of all, conditions permitting, you can ski right back to the hotel.

Your 6 day ski pass covers two days skiing on the French side but also one day in nearby ski resort of Bardonecchia, approximately 50 minutes away.

The Ice Park in Sestriere is fun for all levels and is a great alternative activity to skiing. Open 10am - 6pm (Times may differ on public holidays and Carnival) daily and costs approx. €7 entrance and €6 skate hire.
