About Hotel Briem

If you’re after never-ending views and Austrian charm then you’ll like Hotel Briem. Set in the charming village of Westendorf, you can enjoy wonderful views of the Brixen Valley from the comfort of your cosy bedroom. The ski lifts are less than a ten-minute walk away, it's your gateway onto the wonderful Skiwelt area.

Once you step into the Hotel Briem you'll feel right at home, the welcoming staff in classic Austrian dress welcome you with a smile and aim to make your stay memorable. With traditional alpine style décor throughout, the hotel has a real cosy feel to it. The hotel bar provides a cosy setting for an after-dinner drink.

The views will make you fall in love with the wide Brixen valley.  Situated on the road that leads down to the railway station, Hotel Briem is away from the busy central area. This means you get stunning, uninterrupted views of the Brixen Valley in both directions while only a short walk to Westendorf centre, the nursery slopes or the main gondola.

Discover Westendorf

Known for being a quiet and attractive resort, Westendorf actually enjoys access to two vast ski areas – SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental area and Kitzbühel. Situated on an open plateau in the wide Brixen valley, this small pretty Tyrolean village is the perfect family friendly resort.

With the nursery slopes directly beside the village centre and an excellent children’s programme provided by the ski school, Westendorf is perfect for those just finding their ski legs.

On the tree-lined runs above the village, the resort also has some unexpectedly challenging slopes to get your teeth into. A gondola links Westendorf with Brixen and the rest of the slopes of the SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental area (a total of nine resorts) with a huge variety of skiing for both intermediate and advanced skiers.

Access to the Kitzbühel ski area, with a further 234km of pistes, is via the Ki-West gondola (Super Ski Card required for this).

Westendorf’s Circular Walk: This 11.9km panoramic trail takes you through meadows, forests, and charming hamlets, offering stunning views and easy access.

Wohlfühlweg: A moderate 3.5km trail, ideal for a relaxing walk through scenic landscapes.

KAT Walk Alpin Stage 3: A challenging 19.2km trail with significant elevation gain, perfect for experienced hikers.

Ice skating in Westendorf is a delightful winter activity for all ages. The natural ice rink, located behind the school, offers picturesque surroundings and a fun atmosphere. Equipment rentals are available at Dieter's Sportshop.

Snow biking is an exciting way to explore the winter landscape outside of the main resort of Westendorf. The resort provides rental services for mountain bikes and e-mountain bikes, suitable for various trails. During your experience, you can enjoy scenic routes through the Brixental Valley and witness the beauty of the Kitzbüheler Alpen.

Snowshoeing is a peaceful way to explore the untouched winter landscape of Westendorf. The Brixental valley features many groomed trails suitable for all levels, making it the perfect off-piste activity for all the family.

The region offers several well-maintained trails, including the Westendorf Circular Walk and the Wohlfühlweg, which are ideal for Nordic walking. Tobogganing in Westendorf offers exciting experiences for all ages. The main run, Talkaser-Schrandlhof, is a 7.5km natural toboggan route starting at the Alpenrosenbahn gondola station. It features stunning views and refreshment stops at Talkaser, Fleidingalm, and Schrandlhof. Toboggans can be rented at local ski shops.
