About Yllas Log Cabins
Make your festive Santa Break with a stay in our cosy Ylläs Log Cabins in Finnish Lapland. Tucked beneath snowy trees in the charming village of Äkäslompolo, these traditional log cabins offer the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort.
Wake up to a magical blanket of snow and enjoy the warmth of your own private sauna and fireplace after a day of Arctic adventures. Each cabin is unique - from classic pine logs to modern finishes - and includes fully equipped kitchens, perfect for self-catering. Whether you're close to the village centre or nestled deep in the peaceful forest, the stunning wilderness views are unforgettable. The cabins range from around 250-1500 metres (five to 30 minutes walk) to the main excursion meeting point at the Akas Hotel, which is near the centre of the village.
Lapland is one of the best places in the world to witness the Northern Lights and staying in the Ylläs Log Cabins during the winter months provides an excellent opportunity to witness this natural phenomenon. The cabins are a great base to enjoy our optional extra activities such as snowmobiling, reindeer and husky rides and snowshoeing. Plus, after a day of exploring, you can unwind in your cabin's private sauna or by the fireplace.
