About Ski Inn Apartments

The Ski Inn Apartments in Pyhä are an excellent choice for your next Lappish adventure. With a prime location on the Pyhätunturi fell, the apartments are just a short walk away from the ski slopes. These well equipped apartments provide everything you need for a cosy stay in Finland including your own private sauna – perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes. The best part is, your 6 day lift pass is included with your stay, offering fantastic value for skiers and snowboarders.

The apartments are split across multiple buildings, so interiors and amenities may vary slightly. However, every apartment benefits from having a slope side location, allowing you to make the most of your time on the fell each day. With studio apartments to apartments sleeping nine people, the Ski Inn Apartments are a great choice for couples and groups heading to Lapland this winter. For a more luxurious stay, the two bedroom apartment includes a private sauna and an outdoor jacuzzi, ideal for relaxing under the starry arctic sky. 

Each apartment features a fully equipped kitchenette with an oven, microwave, coffee machine and dining area – giving you the freedom to prepare your own meals in comfort. After a day of arctic adventures, cosy up in your lounge with a TV, or admire the views across the snowy fells from your apartment. And after a day exploring the arctic wilderness, there’s no better way to relax than in your own private sauna.

Getting onto Pyhä's slopes couldn't be easier, clip in your skis and head down the green Skiway run starting from the corner of the hotel or head down the red Polar piste to access the ski lifts.  When returning from a day on the slopes, you can ski back down to the Pyhätunturi via the black graded Piste Palander, which is recommended for advanced skiers only.

The resort centre is around 1km from the ski centre, where you can find a larger supermarket and a handful of restaurants - perfect for the evenings when you don't feel like cooking. Taxis can be arranged for a local fee.  

 

  • One minute's walk to the Hotel Pyhätunturi, where you can find a sauna, fitness room, bar and restaurant.
  • Slope-side location with access to the lifts and ski school meeting point via connecting green runs. The apartments are up to a 200-metre walk from the slopes.
  • Around 1km to the resort centre where you can find a well-stocked supermarket and a handful of restaurants accessible by bus or 15 15-minute walk.
  • The bus stop is just outside the Hotel Pyhatunturi.
  • Taxis can be arranged for a local fee (approx. €15 each way)

The Ski Inn Apartments are self catered apartments with optional half board upgrade.

Each of the suites have a well equipped kitchenette with an oven, stovetop, microwave, kettle, fridge, coffee machine and dishwasher. There's a small convenience shop in the Hotel Pyhätunturi and a larger supermarket in the resort centre. If you don't feel like cooking there's a handful of restaurants in the resort centre (approx. 1km downhill) serving traditional Lappish cuisine and international dishes including pizza, burgers and grilled meats. 

If you have upgraded to half board, you can enjoy a varied breakfast buffet and a three course evening meal each day at the Hotel Pyhätunturi, which is less than a minutes walk away. The menu often features seasonal ingredients and Lappish specialities.

Apartments located in the PyhaLinna Chalet apartment building, approx. 200 metres to the Hotel Pyhätunturi:

Studios are around 33m² and sleep two to three people. The open plan studios have twin beds plus a single sofa bed for a third person, a well-equipped kitchenette and dining area, a fireplace, private sauna and shower. 

Three bedroom + alcove apartments are around 93m² and sleep up to nine people. Downstairs, there is one twin bedroom and an alcove with bunk beds. Upstairs, there is one double bedroom and a triple bedroom with a bunk bed and a single bed. You'll also have a spacious open plan living area- kitchenette, fireplace, a bath, two WCs, and a private sauna, plus two terrace areas. 

Suites located in the Pyha Suites building, approx. 100 metres to the Hotel Pyhätunturi:

One bedroom + alcove suites are around 43m² and sleep up to five people. There's one twin bedroom and an alcove with bunk beds; the sofa bed in the open plan lounge-kitchenette can be made up for a fifth person. You'll have a well-equipped kitchen with a stovetop and oven, a dining area for four people, a private sauna, a bathroom with WC, and a spacious balcony.

Apartments located in the modern Kultakero building:

Two bedroom apartments are around 55m² and sleep up to five people. These apartments have a twin bedroom with an ensuite and a smaller triple bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed: depending on the room, two of the beds are either upper or lower bunks. Each apartment has a spacious open plan living area-kitchenette, two WCs, sauna and private outdoor jacuzzi

One linen set with bedding and towels is provided per person, per week. End-of-stay cleaning is included.

Ice Activities

Led by an experienced guide, you'll travel to the best spots for viewing this spectacular natural phenomenon, carefully selected based on the latest weather forecasts, cloud cover, and space data. With no distractions, you'll be immersed in the breathtaking Arctic night sky and have the chance of witnessing one of nature's most awe-inspiring displays.

Head on an exhilarating adventure through Lappish nature on a snowmobile safari. The incredible scenery through the snow-covered forests, frozen fells and arctic lakes will take your breath away. There is no better way to speed around the Arctic than on a snowmobile - a great way to have some fun and see all that Lapland has to offer.  

Duration: 2 hours

  • All drivers must be 18yrs+ and bring a full, valid photographic driver's licence with them to the excursion.
  • Children must be aged 13 or above and at least 140cm tall to ride as a passenger on a snowmobile, they must be able to touch the foot rest when sat on the snowmobile. Children under this height or aged 5-11yrs will be towed in a sled or pod (unheated) behind the guide. It is not possible for infants (aged 0-4 years) to take part in this excursion. 
  • Single riders who have purchased a sharing snowmobile may need to upgrade locally to a single driving snowmobile, if a sharing snowmobile is not available.
Snowmobiles

Feel the thrill of adventure as you head on a husky sleigh ride through the enchanting Lappish landscape. You will go on a husky ride with a team of eager dogs as you rush past stunning Arctic landscape, whether it's glistening snow covered forests, expansive tundras as far as the eye can see or over frozen lakes, this is an adventure not to be missed. For this safari, you will drive the sleigh.

  • Guests must be 18+ and in good physical fitness to drive the husky sled. 
Husky Rides

A quintessential part of your Lapland visit is to experience is a reindeer sleigh ride. Visit an authentic reindeer farm and learn all about the reindeer. You will then be taken on a serene sleigh ride through snowy forests, guided by a Sami guide and their reindeer. The visit includes a farm visit where you can learn about the reindeer.

  • Some excursions may have flexible scheduling. Where this is the case, your invoice will state: "The actual time and day of your excursion will be confirmed locally and may differ from your invoice and voucher." Our resort team will then advise you on arrival.
  • Excursion days and times are subject to change. While we will do our best to provide advance notice, some adjustments may be necessary. Our Excursion Coordinator and Destination Experts will be available in the resort to assist with any changes.

  • Prices and supplements are correct at time of publishing but may vary up or down. Correct prices will be advised at the time of booking.
  • Travel insurance is a condition of booking with us, and you should ensure that your chosen policy covers the activities that you plan to take part in during your holiday. Your policy should provide cover for your own personal and medical expenses, however individual policies will not cover damage to snowmobiles or skidoos and a compulsory excess will be payable directly to the supplier of the snowmobile/skidoo excursion.
