Lake Ledro is a scene straight out of a fairy tale, with emerald waters that, in the summer, mirror the mountains and pine forests all around. Walking trails circle the lake and zig-zag down to Riva– the northernmost town of Lake Garda. There are around 200km worth of walking trails around these parts, so it’s a case of pick a path, any path. Just make sure to stop at the alpine cheese huts and panoramic viewpoints along the way.

Lake Iseo is a true hidden gem of the Italian lake district, its claim to fame being the delicious Franciacorta sparkling wine; the perfect tipple for relaxing by the lake. Join one of our guided walks and head over to Monte Isola, the biggest island on a lake in Europe; it's a beautiful place to go walking. If you fancy heading off on your own, why not walk up to the Pyramids of Zone, which are natural conical rock formations, a real phenomenon. Or, take some time to chill out and order yourself that glass of sparkling wine, grab a seat over-looking the lake, and sip away to your hearts content.
