About Hotel René Capt
Hotel René Capt sits close to the water's edge and just behind the leafy lakefront promenade. In front of the hotel, there's a lush, green, palm-lined garden with loungers for relaxing and soaking up the sun. If you fancy a coffee or sundown drinks, then head to the first-floor terrace where you can enjoy a quiet drink and spectacular views. You'll be able to see the snow-capped Valais Alps in the distance as well as the Château de Chillon.
The hotel had a fairly complex history until Monsieur René Capt bought it in the 1940s and made it his mission to make a home-from-home for his guests - there's a friendly atmosphere and great attention to detail with stylish traditional décor enhanced by modern touches. The family Capt is continuing to provide great hospitality, ensuring an enjoyable stay in this lovely hotel.
There's lots to see and do nearby, with central Montreux, the ferry port, and the train to Rochers de Naye only a 10-minute walk away. It's a convenient base, whatever your plans - whether it's heading to the hills to discover the beautiful walking trails and the famous Lavaux vineyards or exploring the town and the lake.
