Discover St. Moritz

St Moritz has an idyllic location in Switzerland's Engadine valley and is one of the most recognised resorts in the world. The resort itself is split into three villages: Dorf, on the shore of the lake, has the pick of shops, nightlife, and restaurants. This is where our hotels are located. St. Moritz Bad is less than 2 kilometres away - it's quaint and quieter in comparison. Celerina, on the other side of Dorf, has more of an Italian influence and still has its share of hotels and restaurants. All villages have access to the home mountain, Corviglia.

The three main ski areas are Corviglia, Corvatsch & Diavolezza-Lagalb, all of which offer you something different. they're all linked by the local ski bus, which is included in your lift pass. With more than 155 kilometres of runs close to home at Corviglia, many skiers and snowboarders are happy to remain on the local slopes for the duration of their stay. Others will want to see what other temptations the area's have to offer. Across the valley, Corvatsch is reached by cable cars from Surlej or Furtschellas at either end of Lake Silvaplana, and provides a large area of quite steep terrain. For non-skiers, there’s a wide array of activities including more than 200 kilometres of scenic cross-country tracks and miles of winter walking trails.

Things to do in St. Moritz

Ski under the moonlight on Switzerlands longest  illuminated slopes in Corvatsch - a 4.2-kilometre slope down from the Murtèl mid-station down to Surlej. Every Friday you can enjoy late night skiing until 1am or 2am depending on the time of year.

On full moon nights, when the lunar light is at it's brightest, the Diavolezza cable car operates at night. The slope is freshly groomed and is illuminated only by the light of the full moon. Piz Palü appears dark and majestic, and the snowfields glitter in the moonlight.

Ice skating is available on the frozen lake of St. Moritz throughout the winter season. Subject to weather conditions, payable locally.

There is plenty of cross country skiing available in St Moritz with around 230 kilometres of cross-country ski trails throughout the Upper Engadine.

The Olympia Bob Run is the oldest bobsleigh run in the world, and guests can fly down the icy track offering 75 seconds of adrenaline. If you are brave enough, you’ll receive a certificate as proof of your achievement. Weather permitting, the bob guest rides are offered almost every day throughout the winter season.

Swap your skis or board for snowshoes and head on an adventure through the pristine landscape, venture through the forests, up the mountains or just around the local trails you'll be rewarded with fantastic views.
