Discover Meribel

Set in the centre of the Three Valleys, Europe's largest linked ski area, skiing in Méribel offers endless opportunities with easy access to the resorts of Courchevel and Val Thorens in the neighbouring valleys. The beautiful wooden chalet buildings of Méribel make this one of one of France's most attractive ski resorts and one of the most popular.

Meribel has been awarded the Family Plus label which makes this resort an excellent choice for families as many of the hotels, restaurants and ski areas have kept children in mind.

With a central location in the Three Valleys, Méribel has excellent access to the largest linked ski area. With 600km of marked pistes you won't be short of areas to explore, and if you do try to make sure you book one of the accommodations with wellness facilities to rejuvenate. There is some amazing skiing in the valley, including the Women's Downhill run and up at the Mont du Vallon and the legendary 'Face' run used for the 1992 Winter Olympics. If speeding down competition-worthy slopes isn't your thing there are also plenty of cruisy blue and red runs throughout the resort. The fun zones in Méribel have been upgraded with the new 'Bump'N'Jump' fun zone with three separate runs with various jumps, boxes and boardercross sections -  accessible via the Legends chairlift and Arpasson ski lift.

There are four dedicated toboggan runs in Méribel. Children who want to learn to sledge can do so on the Kenottes run, which is reserved just for families.  Whilst the Mission Black Forest is best for those with a bit more confidence, whiz down the 3.4 km sledge run, descending 470m with 28 corners.

Experience the magic of the mountains by night on the free Chalets gondola lift, which is now open from 7:30am until 11:30pm. The lift runs between Méribel-Mottaret and Hameau du Mottaret, allowing you to enjoy an evening in one of the cosy restaurants or extend your après time on the snow front.

The Olympic Park is a sport complex which includes a swimming pool, an ice rink, an indoor climbing wall, as well as a spa and a fitness area. Perfect for when it is just a bit to snowy to go on the mountain. Ice hockey matches in the Olympic Park take place every Tuesday night.

Known as “parapenting” in France, you can take to the skies and glide over the Méribel mountains where there are spectacular panoramic views of the Three Valleys.

Explore Méribel by snowmobile and explore the snowy landscape. Snowmobiles are easy to drive on your own or sharing with a passenger. Be sure to book early as it is incredibly popular.

Méribel is a winter walker's paradise with 25km of walking trails around the resort, explore the mountain by foot or take the ski lifts to experience higher ground. You can even meet your friends and family for some apres skiing if you'd like as many of the lifts take you up to the most popular spots.

Can you get a strike? Head to the local bowling alley to play a game or two. There is also pool tables, video games, table-football and ive screening of big sporting events to keep you occupied.
