Alpenhotel Ramsauerhof is a charming hotel set in the nearby village of Ramsau, close to Mayrhofen, in the heart of the stunning Zillertal Valley. Surrounded by breathtaking Alpine scenery, it combines traditional Tyrolean hospitality with modern comfort.

Two free ski buses depart directly from the hotel, one taking you to the closest Horbergbahn lift and one to the Zillertal Area. Both areas are included on your Zillertal Superski pass.

If you want to explore further afield, the train station is just a five minute walk away with access to Hintertux and Hoch Zillertal, both included on your Zillertal Superski pass. With 548 kms of skiing and the Hintertux glacier on your lift pass, you will be spoilt for choice.

With over 500 km of slopes across four ski areas and the Hintertux glacier, all connected by free bus or train, there's plenty to explore in Mayrhofen. The four areas cover Hochzillertal-Hochfügen-Spieljoch, Zillertal Arena, Mayrhofner Bergbahnen, and Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 and are all accessible on your Zillertal Superski Pass. The local area itself offers 142 km of slopes across the Penken and Ahorn areas.

If you’re looking for a rustic traditional village with modern lifts and access to the largest ski area in Austria, then Mayrhofen is the place for you. There is a long stretch of bars, restaurants and shops so you will find plenty to explore.

On the famous Zillertal Ski Area you’ll have 548km of varied pistes. Be sure to explore Hintertux glacier, we can’t get enough of the powder skiing and sweeping views. You’re above the clouds here meaning you’ll avoid any poor weather further down the mountain. You can also try Austria’s steepest run at a 78% gradient, the Hara Kiri. There is plenty for beginners too, with learning areas, quality teaching and cruisy blue runs.

Mayrhofen is a heavyweight resort for skiers, boarders and freestylers. If you’re a freestyler you won’t want to miss a chance to practice your tricks one of Europe’s largest snow parks, the Penken park. You’ll find it on the sunny side of the Hornberg mountain – split into six separate areas, it even has its own chairlift.

The Visorium in Mayrhofen is a versatile indoor activity centre located in the heart of the Zillertal Valley. It spans 2,000m² and offers a range of entertainment options for all ages. Visitors can enjoy three custom-built escape rooms with unique themes and puzzles, a large laser tag area based on the story of the "Woldschnoggn - Forest Goblin," and a 12-hole adventure golf course where each hole tells a legendary story. Additionally, there are virtual reality rooms for immersive experiences.
