About Hotel Tiefenbrunner

Located in the heart of Kitzbühel's medieval pedestrianised centre, the prettily painted Hotel Tiefenbrunner has been owned by the Brunner family for over 200 years.

Hotel Tiefenbrunner has been run by the Brunner family since 1810 and these historic roots give the hotel a warm feel and character.

The prettily painted exterior stands out in the centre of Kitzbühel’s old town. This winter gem blends medieval architecture and modern décor.

From the hotel lobby you enter directly onto Kitzbühel’s bustling cobbled streets with plenty of cafes, bars and shops to explore.

You are located 500 metres from the main Hahnenkamm lift for access to the excellent skiing the Kitzbühel Alps have to offer. The ski bus stops right outside the hotel for easy access.

Discover Kitzbuhel

In Kitzbühel you’ll have an attractive medieval town, perfectly prepared pistes and modern lifts with heated seats. You can’t get enough of the spectacular mountains that extend for miles.

The Hahnenkamm lift is where you’ll access the Kitzbühel Alps for a large variety of runs. You’ll find the Hahnenkamm Streif, the Ski World Cup’s most famous downhill run. It’s used in January for the Ski World Cup, attracting visitors from all over the world. You’ll need to be very experienced, at least if you try it from the top.

You’ll have the option of the less crowded Kitzbüheler Horn, on the opposite side of the valley. Great for a warm up ski, before tackling the daring runs in the afternoon. Beginners will enjoy the snow park here and there are plenty of marked trails for freeriders and snowboarders.

Things to do in Kitzbuhel

Kitzbühel offers excellent cross-country skiing with 70 km of groomed trails suitable for all skill levels. The trails traverse beautiful meadows and high Tyrolean mountains, providing a scenic and enjoyable experience. Highlights include the floodlit trail at the Kitzbühel Schwarzsee-Reith golf course, which is illuminated until 9:30pm daily.

Night skiing in Kitzbühel is a thrilling experience, with the Gaisberg slope offering extended hours on Thursdays and Fridays. The Gaisberg lift in Kirchberg stays open later from 18:30 to 21:30, allowing you to enjoy skiing the slopes under the stars. The nearby mountain huts remain open late, providing a cosy spot for refreshments between runs.

The ice rink at the sports park is open throughout the winter season, offering off slope entertainment for the whole family. You can also have a go at curling, a traditional Tyrolean sport - where you take turns in sliding stones towards a target. The rink is also home to the Kitzbühel Adler's professional ice hockey team, be sure to check out the programme for games throughout the season. 

Snowshoeing in Kitzbühel offers a serene way to explore the winter landscape. With numerous trails suitable for all levels, you can enjoy the tranquillity of snow-covered forests and panoramic mountain views. Popular routes include the Tauwiesen Snowshoe Trail for beginners and the scenic Windautal Valley. 

Nordic walking in Kitzbühel offers a fantastic way to explore the beautiful alpine landscape. With numerous trails suitable for all levels, you can enjoy scenic routes like the Malern Walk and the Lebenberg Trail. These paths take you through picturesque meadows, forests, and around serene ponds, providing a peaceful and invigorating experience.

Tobogganing in Kitzbühel is a fun winter activity for all ages. The area offers several well-maintained runs, such as the Gaisberg toboggan run, which is illuminated for night rides.
