Discover Niederau

Wild and beautiful – hence the name of one of the Tyrol’s loveliest and most unspoilt valleys. Even though Innsbruck is just under two hours away it could be a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Niederau, the first and biggest of the the Wildschönau's traditional and charming villages, is ideal for beginners looking to progress from blues and intermediate skiers who want testing runs too. Auffach, at the end of the valley, has some more challenging runs, plus some hidden gems. Niederau, Auffach and Alpbach are linked to form the Ski Juwel Area. The resort is linked with Oberau too, just 3 kilometres away by free ski bus service.

In recent seasons, the Wildschönau has won awards for ‘Best Family Ski Area’ and ‘Friendliest Staff’, as well as one for excellent piste preparation.
